Goji Berry ‘Sweet Lifeberry’

A staple food of its originating country, China, Goji Berry ‘Sweet Lifeberry’ is fast becoming a popular fruit here too. The sweet, vitamin C packed berries are high in antioxidants and protein too, making them commonly known as one of the “superfruits”. Lycium barbartum is a low maintenance, deciduous shrub, that can be grown as part of a shrub collection, or due to its spreading nature, as part of a hedge or screen. The pale lavender/ pink flowers appear in summer and soon start to turn to large numbers of the fruits which are bright red when ripe. Height: 350cm (138″). Spread: 500cm (197″).
