The Hotbin Mk. 2 is the second generation of this revolutionary aerobic composting system, producing usable compost in just 30-90 days – that’s 32 times faster than a traditional compost bin!

The innovative Hotbin technology allows this composter to reach temperatures of 40-60C even in winter, so it can cope with an even wider variety of waste including vegetable peelings, grass cuttings, leaves, cooked meat and even small bones! As bacteria break down the waste, they produce heat which is retained in the insulated unit, creating the perfect conditions for producing an infinite amount of crumbly compost.

The high temperatures kill off any fly larvae, weed seed and pathogens so you can be sure that your compost is clean and ready to use, without the risk of spreading pests and diseases about your garden.

There are several clever features that make this bin so popular. It is designed as a sealed unit, with a built-in bio-filter within the lid which reduces any unpleasant odours associated with the composting process.
